Hanks Beats Star Trek, Aniston Flops At Box Office

Tom Hanks new movie, Angels and Deamons ($48 mil) finished as the hottest movie of the weekend, holding off a strong push from the millions of Star Trek ($43 mil) nerds who have nothing better to do than climb out of their parents basement, dress up as Captain Kirk, catch the bus and head to the movie theater. Jennifer Aniston's independent comedy was a big time flop. Management was Aniston's worse showing since her 2005 film, Rumor Has It. Rumor has it that movie sucked too, but we can't get anyone to verify it. It goes to show you, a pretty face can only carry you so far. But it's carried Aniston pretty damn far!
Matthew McConaughey's film, Ghosts of Girlfriends' Past, is hanging in there with a respectable $6.9 million made this weekend. The kid's movie, Hannah Montana fell out of the top ten for the first time in 5 weeks but made a whopping $75.9 million grab before fading away. Read E! ONLINE Report
