Was Rickey On Roids?
By
Hey Uncle Colin, are we sure that Rickey Henderson didn’t use steroids? Is that even a legit question? Buckles, Oakland
First of all, it’s totally legit. He played during the ‘Steroid Era’, he had that ‘roid build and got bigger in his later years. I don’t have any idea, but I’m not a mark either. If you think he did, fine. Nobody can take it away from you or prove you wrong until facts come out to the contrary. And I’m not talking about a player’s own denial, we’re talking about blood and urine tests that came up clean. Nobody can tell me that any player from this era is clean without giving me some hard facts. It’s sad, but baseball has brought this upon itself. There’s no reason to feel bad for any of the falsely accused either. They spent their entire careers not caring what you thought, but now when they’re being judged in the court of public opinion some players want to get your pity. You’re not getting mine.
Colin, What is it about real estate you like so much? Tim, Youngstown, Ohio
I have always loved it. Buying it, remodeling it, selling it. It’s just another passion I have. There are several things that I genuinely love. My kids, reading, travel, sports, real estate, sex, gambling, a cocktail, summers on the beach, big laughs, documentaries, business books, the New York Times, Man vs Wild, John Stewart, college football, women with style, and my life.

Colin, being a Bruins fan, I wonder when will we ever have a respectable football program again? How long will Norm Chow stick it out with Slick Rick without ever having anything to work with at QB? Be easy on me. Steve, LA
Steve, the Bruin coaching staff is too solid not to win quickly. Like your chances to win 8-9 games this year but UCLA definitely needs improved line play, which I think is coming. UCLA needs to win, it’s good for the conference. It helps the National perspective of the PAC-10.

What are the chances of Tampa and/or Pittsburgh landing an NBA franchise? Jimmy, Pittsburgh
Slim. Pittsburgh is the lowest rated NBA television market in the top 30 cities in America. And I worked in Tampa. When you brought up the NBA on radio, the calls bordered on racist. People hated the league. It’s an NFL city and a good one.

Colin,
I’ve been listening to you now for 4 years and when I heard you were going to be having a television show I was really looking forward to it. But 3pm central time, the only people who can watch it still live at home and don’t have jobs. When is it going to come on at a decent hour so I can watch? (and don’t say Tevo it)
Wes, Houston
I agree Colin. Although I have only been listening for 2 years, this is bogus. You should have your show start at 5:30 PM, 9:00 PM, and also on late weekend nights when I get back from the bar. You target demo is me, 18-49 (or 18-35) M I’m assuming. Guess what, that’s when all of us are really ready to watch. About 2:25 AM after the bars have closed and the taxi has dropped us off (and if you’re a hockey player, it may be a bit later because you’re probably busy beating up the cab driver) I don’t get off work till 5:00 and although I know I can record it, it would just be easier for me to get home and turn it to ESPN.
