Fisch Tries To Master The Spread

Cincinnati (-15) @ Syracuse
Fisch says: “Cincinnati is 10-0 on turf. They are the best team in the Big Least - see what he did there?- and Syracuse is 1-9 in conference play. They start a guy at quarterback that played basketball last year!”
Penn State (-15) @ Northwestern
Fisch says: “Penn State is 3-4 ATS but 7-2 against Northwestern. As miserable as Big Ten football is, I’d take the under if I was allowed to. Joe-Pa covers.”
Florida (-14) vs. Georgia
Fisch says: “Georgia is 2-9 against the spread in their last 11 games playing Florida. Plus, the Bulldogs are way too concerned with dancing and trash talking than they are with recruiting and playing football. Tim Tebow finally goes off, take the Gators!”
USC (-3) @ Oregon
Fisch says: “USC has too much on the line to lose in this spot. Some say Oregon is too, but let’s face it, USC is used to having to win and win they will by 7. If Oregon was getting more points I would take still take USC plus I hate the 43 different types of uniforms Oregon. The line has moved from 3.5 to 3 in the last day, I’m going against the grain. Duck you Oregon!”
Colts (-13) vs. 49ers
Fisch says: “The Colts have the second best quarterback in the NFL with Peyton Manning and he’s taking on Alex ‘Small Hands’ Smith. Peyton wins by 17 points.”
Jaguars (+3) @ Titans
Fisch says: “Vince Young is starting and I’m getting points? I’ll take the Jaguars.”
Minnesota (+3) @ Green Bay
Fisch says: “The Vikings have better talent at all offensive positions and Favre wants to show Green Bay they made a mistake thinking he was washed up.”

I’m okay with these picks, for the most part… one thing to consider is, and you picked all visiting teams. That goes against everything I know about betting (which isn’t much). I usually like conference game at home to cover.

My picks for the college weekend that will surely suck and be wrong - I’m just not willing to be the guy who claims to go 6-1 at 11 PM tonight, and I attempt to pick games they haven’t mentioned.
Ohio State -44 New Mexico St. - I’m taking the points because Pryor is way to inconsistent.
Navy -7 Temple - Take Navy, they Midshipmen will run all over Temple
Iowa -17 Indiana - Take the points and Indiana, keep in mind I’m an Iowa homer that’s saying that. Iowa is just too beat up.
USC -3 Oregon - I’m taking USC. I actually want Oregon to win, not just cover, but until Pete loses a big game like this, I’m not betting against him. This is the type of game they win.

Much like last week the way to become a millionaire is to pick exactly the opposite of what I predict. Apparently just listening to the herd and watching college football does not make you an expert picker of games……Thank God I’m not a degenerate gambler like Fish. Just call me Captain Sucko from here on out.
