Tony Dorsett Has Better Things To Do Than Listen To Mark Ingram’s Heisman Speech
By
While Alabama running back Mark Ingram was giving an emotionally charged Heisman Trophy acceptance speech, former Trophy winner Tony Dorsett found it necessary to check his cell phone. Rumor has it Barry Sanders was on the other end of a text message that read, “Whats up man. Is that Heisman thing tonight?”

He went to sPitt. You really can’t expect much better from him.
Barry Sanders and Tony Dorsett accomplished far more on a football field than Mark Ingram ever will. Anyone that actually believes Mark Ingram is the greatest college football player is a moron, anyway. He cries for the camera, so the media got what they wanted.
Why even wear a suit? It is amazing how little respect and lack of manners pro athletes have. That’s what makes pros like Derick Jeeter so special. There just are not that many pro athletes that are decent human beings.
I just watched Mark Ingram’s speech today and I believe that banging on Tony Dorsett is rather unwarranted. While it definitely appears that Dorsett was receiving a text/phone call, my perspective is that he is merely “silencing” his device as he may have forgotten to do so beforehand, and did not want it to be a further interruption/distraction to a very nervous Ingram during his speech.
It just appears that people are trying to make something out of nothing. Just my two cents.
So what? I am Tony Dorsett. I was simply turning it off. But even if I was not - I\’m TOny DOrsett, bitch!
He could have not shown up. Look at the hand placement…looks like he is turning it off to me…. Tony, you have been my hero since your cleats hit the football field. Hasn’t been anything like you since you left the field. People will always find something negative to say. It is human nature.
